Iconoclast Chicago - Who we are.

Full Disclosure

History

The spring of 2006 was a tumultous time in the Chicago Nightlife Realm. There was constant sparring between arch-lord promoters, there was strife amongst valiant DJs of the realm and above all, there was a general sense of disunity amongst the kingdoms.

It was in the situation that the small sovereignty of Republic approached the Dysco Noir principalty (a transplant of the great New York Dysco Noir Empire) with the suggestion that they join forces to work on a "night" together. This they did, and along with the Duchy of J4, the crown of Metro-Pop and the far nothern commonwealth of Retro-Pop they joined forces to create the Collective of Icon(oclast).

Together they created "Modern Love" a successful Friday night. After a good run at an unnamed club, the collective moved onto better things with "Modern Love : The Makeout Sessions" at Celebrity. "Super Disco Breakin'" at Funky Buddha and "Definitive" at Swirl Wine Bar.

Today the Icon(oclast) Collective stands amongs the tall of Chicago's nightlife elite... mostly because there is just far to many of us not to.
